Boomerang has been appointed by Burgess Furniture to help with its PR and marketing communications over the next 12 months. The British furniture designer and manufacturer has been established for nearly 60 years and has a worldwide reputation for its commitment to innovation, quality and craftsmanship.

It all began with the humble bicycle handlebar in 1946 when Gerald Burgess founded the GB Cycle Company. Spotting an opportunity for growth, he steered the company towards the contract furniture market, adapting the bending, welding and aluminium finishing expertise of the company to the design and manufacture of conference and banqueting furniture.

Burgess then became the very first manufacturer of the aluminium stacking banquet chair – something that was, in fact, its first innovation. Since then, the company has continued to be at the forefront of ideas that have helped set industry standards.

Today's Chairman, Jeremy Burgess, believes that quality, innovation and value for money has helped Burgess to stand out from the competition: "This focus has enabled us to supply time and time again, some of the best hotels in the world, with the highest quality products, incorporating the best comfort and design, all at a price that you can afford."

Boomerang has been hired by Burgess Furniture as it prepares to launch a wealth of new products, as well as a new website to mark nearly 60 years of trading. We will work closely with its marketing team to develop and support its communications strategy through to 2019.
